The #TextaToast has humble beginnings.
BITD (that’s back in the day) buddies in the bar business who were traveling all over the country would call each other in different towns for what we used to call the Dial-a-shot. We’d keep connected by calling during the dinner rush, tell them we loved them and missed them, then take a shot on the phone, laugh for a second, and go back to work.
With better technology comes the ability to adapt the dial-a-shot into the text-a-toast, taking a simple pic of what you’re drinking and sending it to others via whatever medium you choose, simply to share a virtual drink, tell them you love them, miss them, and are thinking of them.
It is with this long story that I present to you the #textatoast. Please share. Make it a habit. And be together, even when you’re not. Love you and miss you.
