I’ll make this brief and simply attach it to everything I write.

I fucking hate travel blogging. I’m not good at it and I’m not trying to be good at it. I’m not a travel agent. I’m not a tour guide. I’m not TripAdvisor and I have no interest in developing itineraries and reviewing places. Everyone has different likes, different tastes, different expectations, different schedules, and different sensibilities. When I travel, I tend to stay in places for a long time to get the feel of the people. I don’t eat weird foods and I’m not going to mention every restaurant I visit…even the ones I find to be really good…and I’m not going to discuss in detail everything I think you should do. I like to travel low to the ground. I’m a cafè, street food, and wine guy, not a fine dining, museum, and church guy. I’m a hostel and B&B guy more than a JW Marriott guy (although I do like the JW). Yeah, I still go to all of it, the churches and museums, and I definitely go to 3-Michelin Star restaurants when I can, but I don’t talk about all of it or suggest all of it. I’ve spent years working in restaurants so I tend to look at places differently. If I mention something, it’s because I really liked it and think you might, too. Everything I write regarding travel is written in a way that represents how I would talk to my friends. I’m honest and have no interest in you agreeing with me or liking what I like. Consider yourself disclaimed.
